position is responsible for leading small projects & day-to-day
installations. |
| |
|
| Major
Responsibilities - not all inclusive: |
- Lead small
projects
- Read blueprints
& floor plans
- Interact
with customers in a professional manner
- Lead/manage
small crews/projects
- Complete
daily reports
- Certify
channel and link test on horizontal cable using level one test
- Coordinate
personnel and timeline to complete project
- Build closets
- Complete
all IDC connections
- Identify
and install grounding for racks, equipment and cable
- Assemble
& install modular plugs & coaxial connectors
- Identify
active voice or data circuits
- Dress and
terminate outdoor cable on lightening protection
- Perform
interim crew evaluations

| Minimum
Requirements - not all inclusive: |
- Must have
reliable transportation
- High school
diploma or equivalent
- Basic reading
and writing skills
- 1 year
cabling experience
- Must have
supervisory skills
- Must possess
all necessary tools.
- Hand
tools: screwdriver (Regular & Phillips), drywall
saw, torpedo level, tape measure, snips, pliers (needle
nose & channel locks), hammer and cable stripper.
- Trade
Tools: punch tool with 110 block and 66 block blade, 6/8
position combo crimp tool and tone set
- Ability
to travel may be required
